The LifeWorks Institute's Speciality Programs

The LifeWorks Institute (Trabajos de Vida Institucion) was established in 1992 by DuAnne Redus as a non-profit organization. The Lifeworks Institute designs and delivers innovative programs that prevent loss of human potential and creativity in organizations and communities. Lifeworks' programs activate human potential by specializing in practical strategies for success.

No One Walks Alone (NOWA) is the vision of Jim Olhausen. Jim, a cancer survivor himself, who believed that being diagnosed, was an assault on his and his family's life. This assault eventually transformed his perspective of life in that life was not about avoiding death but about living fully. Cancer became his opportunity and most precious gift, a transformation of his BE-ing. More info.

Mollomarka Indian Water Project The intent for this project began with the desire to ensure an adequate, clean source of water for the village of Mollamarka, Peru, a small village of Quechua people, in the highlands east of Cuzco. The villagers are a quiet, shy, loving people who love others because we are humans on the same planet. They live in union with the earth, a true community of cooperation. The Quechua people have lived this way for more than five hundred years. We will continue to approach them with respect and honor for their way of life. More info.

The idea of cultivating peace through children who do it naturally, is connected to the vision of The LifeWorks Institute that we can create a world to which all people want to belong. More info.

Growing up I vividly remember being told that not only was communism bad, but that people who were communists were also bad. My heart told me there was a conflict in that belief. It was not until I met my first Russian person face-to-face that I realized I had been brain-washed in school. Not only did I feel betrayed by the education system, I felt ashamed that I had discounted communities of people I knew nothing about. It was in asking questions of meaning and value that led me into direct experiences that were in totally "unknown territory." More info.

Women in central Texas are invited to participate in the Mandala Dance of the Twenty-One Praises of Tara. Through retreats, workshops and pilgrimages, we dance for the empowerment of communities around the world. Our goal is to learn the dance as taught by Prema Dasara (refer to history here) by understanding the qualities of the goddess deity, and by practicing movements and chants that guide us as we begin to embody those qualities for the benefit of all beings.
