The Matrix Group's focus is to educate and empower youth to reach their personal potential by providing enriching experiences that promote emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual growth; thus providing an opportunity for these youth to become productive, contributing members of the community.

The Matrix Group offers specific opportunities for youth to explore who they are, what is important, and what they want for their future. Using mentors (guides) from the world of art, theater, music and real-world scenarios, facilitators provide safe, nurturing and creative environments for youth to explore life-seeking questions about life/work/home/health/spirit.

The Matrix Group designs and implements programs and curriculum relevant to an organization's specific client needs.

Tom Best currently serves as co-director of Best Resources here in San Antonio and offers one-on-one coaching sessions for those dedicated to life excellence. Mr. Best has trained Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) for the last 17 years in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Peru and Europe, and was a Fellow of the former National Association of NLP. He has worked with NLP's major developers since 1981, and will be included in the 2002 edition of Who's Who In America. Tom weaves his background in cultural anthropology and his ongoing research of indigenous peoples and traditions into the fabric of his training and program design. With a focus on cross-cultural wisdom, practical excellence -- doing what works -- he is able to consistently provide a tremendously effective and efficient learning experience.

Bobbi Best, LMSW-ACP, has blended her background in psychiatric social work with the application of NLP in powerfully effective therapeutic interventions. With over 16 years of experience as an NLP trainer, she has traveled the world studying with masters from many cultures, from Hawaii to the Andes. Bobbi is also the designer of Visible Woman, an NLP-based program for women and teens who want to be free of limitations. Her current passion involves in-depth counseling with at-risk youth in the San Antonio area. She is modeling "what works" and expanding these successes into programs targeting troubled youth and gang members. Tom and Bobbi Best and Best Resources have been operating in Bexar County since March, 1999.

Linda Moore has lived and worked in the Central Texas area since 1979. Her adventuresome nature has led her to travel and explore, both in the traditional business arena as well as with cultural and spiritual studies, from Mexico to Peru; Native American to Hawaiian cultures. She combines a unique set of logistical skills--attention to detail; computer expertise; and training design -- with an eclectic blend of creative talents--technical and fiction writing, editing, and storytelling. Her current focus is as a facilitator for Excellence, assisting others to realize their full potential and release limitations and fears. Linda is a certified Mediation Facilitator with the State of Texas and is a Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming, NLP. She has worked with Best Resources in San Antonio since May of 1999.

Terry Teaters has been educating and facilitating people in their self - growth path for almost two decades. After graduate school in Clinical Psychology he completed post graduate training in psychodrama. As a clinical psychotherapist he served on staff as psychodrama director for 10 psychiatric hospitals, and facilitated groups in schools, prisons, and adolescent treatment centers. In private practice he specialized in working with couples, families, and adolescents. He has taught in two universities. As creator and leader of expressive arts groups he has worked with literally thousands of people throughout the country in their personal path of awareness. He has organized and led dozens of workshops in churches, schools, and other institutions. Terry entered as a leader in the men's movement in the early 90s, offering several men's groups, and has served on staff for the Mankind Project. He is keen to the partnership problems of couples, and having raised two children of his own has first-hand knowledge about the stress of parenting.

Walter is committed to the healing process for humankind. He left a profitable family business to dedicate his energy in service of others. He is a certified leader in the Mankind Project and managing New Warrior Adventures for adult men around the world. As a Chaplain, creativity coach and trainer, he works with individuals in self-growth. As an accomplished artist he served as an art consultant to Child Protective Services.
